The LF173 keeps the standard 207.5mm × 173.7mm cell face (compatible with common 280Ah/314Ah busbars, compression fixtures, and rack spacing) but is only 41mm thick — roughly half the depth of a 72mm cell:

The LF173 has become a top choice for home solar energy storage DIY (ESS) — you get EV-grade cells with the flexibility to design a flatter, wall-friendly battery layout.

The LF173 is rated for 4,000 charge/discharge cycles at 0.5C — roughly 11 years of daily cycling, with only 2–4% capacity fade per year under normal use — backed by a 5-year warranty.

What protects that life in real service:

• Cobalt-free LiFePO4 chemistry — inherently stable, no thermal runaway risk
• 0.5C standard rate (86.5A) — conservative daily operation keeps heat low; 1C (173A) continuous / 2C (346A) pulse (60s) available for demanding loads
• 10%–90% recommended SOC window — avoids stressing the cell at the extremes
• For 16S packs, set the inverter/charger to 55.2V max charge voltage, up to 150A charge / 200A discharge, in lithium (CAN/RS485) or lead-acid mode
• Fully charge the battery to 100% at least once a month to keep BMS SOC readings accurate, especially in winter with low solar input

Market "Grade A" labels vary wildly — some sellers relabel Grade B cells or ship cells with fake QR codes and no test reports. EVE now prints a B Mark on all ESS-grade cells so ESS stock can't be passed off as HSEV; these LF173 cells carry the intact original EVE QR code and verify on EVE's traceability system.

Shipping: all battery cells ship by sea freight from our China warehouse (50–60 days, door-to-door, tax-free — we've paid the tax); air freight (under 15 days) is available on request. Small spare parts can ship by UPS/DHL. Cells are packed in anti-static, shock-proof packaging with corner protection, and any cell damaged in transit will be replaced free of charge. A 30-day free return also applies.

Mixing cells: not recommended. Do not combine LF173 173Ah cells with 100Ah, 280Ah, 314Ah, or other capacities (or different production versions) in the same battery pack — different types of LiFePO4 cells have different characteristics, which shortens pack life, causes imbalance, and can create safety hazards. Build each pack from one model and one matched batch. When ordering 4, 8, or 16 cells together, they arrive IR-matched and voltage-matched with an intact QR code on every cell.
