Solution Solar Inverter
Using the sun 10k sg04lp3 eu battery system has changed how I use power at home, especially after dinner when electricity rates climb. I had solar panels for two years, but before adding battery storage, I still sent a lot of daytime generation back to the grid and bought it back during peak hours. The setup I chose is built around the sun 10k sg04lp3 eu, paired with my inverter and solar array.
Installation was less disruptive than I expected. The installer mounted the battery in my utility room, ran new cables, and configured the energy management app. I spent the evening watching battery state of charge rise from 42% to 78% while the panels were still producing. The app is not beautiful, but it shows solar production, household load, battery charging, and grid import clearly enough.
The biggest difference appears between 4pm and 9pm. My battery now discharges through cooking, air conditioning, and laundry instead of pulling from the grid. Over the first month, my electricity bill dropped by about 38%, from $186 to $115. That is not a dramatic number every month, because weather and usage vary, but the peak-hour savings are obvious. I also like that the battery keeps a reserve for outages; during one outage, my refrigerator and Wi-Fi stayed running without me touching anything.
I did have one troubleshooting moment. The battery stopped discharging at 61% one afternoon, even though the house was using power. I checked the app and found a discharge schedule limited to peak hours. I corrected the time window, restarted the controller, and everything returned to normal. That taught me to check settings before blaming the hardware.
For me, this solar battery setup is useful because it lets me use solar power at peak rates.
