Most evenings at our house feel different since I added a 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery to my rooftop solar system. Before that, solar production dropped away just as our electricity use climbed: cooking, laundry, and the heat pump all started during expensive evening hours. Now the battery charges from surplus panels around lunchtime and carries us through dinner.
