Every evening, after dinner, I glance at the battery monitor before turning on the dishwasher. The biggest change since installing my renogy 48v 50ah smart lithium iron phosphate battery has been how much less I rely on the grid after sunset.

I did have one troubleshooting moment. One night the app showed the battery discharging, but the house was still pulling more grid power than expected. I checked the inverter and found its time zone had reset after a firmware update, so the peak-rate schedule was off by an hour. Correcting the clock fixed it immediately. Since then, I check the monitoring app once a week instead of obsessing over it daily.
