The main benefit is shifting power into evening hours. During sunny days, panels charge the battery to 90% by midafternoon. Once the utility rate jumps, I run lights, computers, refrigerator, and laundry load from stored energy. My grid meter barely moves. Last month, that cut peak-hour usage by 65% compared with month before adding storage.

I’m not claiming the system eliminates my bill. Winter clouds and short daylight still force some grid charging, and the battery loses a little energy overnight.
