I learned the system was applying a firmware update, not failing. Since then, it has been uneventful.
What I appreciate most is not having to think about every kilowatt-hour. The app shows solar production, battery state of charge, and daily grid imports at a glance. I keep a reserve for outages, but the everyday peak-rate savings are the reason the solar battery feels worthwhile.
