The most useful feature has been the reserve setting. I keep twenty percent available for outages, rather than draining everything during peak hours. We had a neighborhood outage during a storm, and the transfer happened quietly. The refrigerator stayed on, the Wi-Fi returned within a minute, and I could still make coffee. That test made the solar battery feel like practical backup power, not just a way to chase savings.

I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. The app showed the battery as “waiting” one afternoon even though the panels were producing. I found a scheduled maintenance setting had paused charging. After disabling it, the battery resumed normally. Since then, I check the energy flow occasionally. For my household, predictable peak-hour savings and quiet backup power matter more than squeezing out every kilowatt-hour.
