Two months ago, I added a 160Ah lithium solar battery to my rooftop system, mainly to stop buying expensive evening electricity. My installer mounted the battery in the garage, connected it to the existing inverter, and finished the wiring in one afternoon.

Since then, the battery monitoring app has been steady, and the state of charge sits between 25 and 95 percent. I keep an outage reserve, which makes the system feel practical.
