Solution Solar Battery
I installed a solar battery system last summer after getting tired of watching my electricity bill jump whenever the grid reached peak hours. The heart of my setup is a livguard solar inverter paired with a wall-mounted lithium battery and my existing rooftop solar panels.
The biggest difference has been the evening routine. Before the battery, I would return from work, switch on fans, lights, and the water pump, then feel slightly guilty knowing those appliances were using expensive grid power. Now the solar battery charges during the afternoon, and my livguard solar inverter automatically supplies most of the house after sunset. I still draw from the grid occasionally, especially on cloudy days, but peak-hour consumption has dropped noticeably.
My monthly bill used to sit around ₹4,000 to ₹4,500 in the hotter months. It now usually lands between ₹2,300 and ₹2,800, depending on air conditioner use. That is not a miracle saving, because I still pay fixed charges and import some electricity, but the battery has made the expensive hours far less painful.
I did have one small troubleshooting moment in the first week. The battery stopped discharging one evening, even though its display showed plenty of stored energy. I checked the app and found that the backup reserve had been set unusually high during installation. After lowering that reserve slightly, the system began working normally. I appreciated finding the cause without calling anyone, although I did message the installer afterward to confirm the setting.
What I like most is that the system feels quiet and automatic. I do not have to think about switching between solar power, battery backup, and grid electricity. During outages, my lights and router stayed on.
