It resumed normally, and I have not seen the problem since. That small hiccup reminded me that a solar battery is still home electrical equipment, not an appliance I can completely ignore.
Overall, the value has been less about energy independence than about timing my consumption. I still use the grid on rainy mornings, but peak-hour usage is much lower. For me, the battery storage system earns its keep quietly: fewer expensive evening kilowatt-hours, no noise, and a smaller bill.
