What I appreciate most is the practical control. I can check the state of charge on my phone, delay laundry until the panels are producing, and use stored solar energy when rates peak. The lifepo4 battery feels sturdier than the old lead-acid unit I briefly tried, and it has not needed watering or other maintenance.
