I did have one troubleshooting moment. The inverter stopped discharging at night because I had accidentally set its minimum battery reserve to 60 percent.

After lowering that reserve to 20 percent, the system behaved normally, though I later raised it to 30 percent for backup protection during outages. The app made diagnosis easy.

What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic routine. I rarely think about the solar battery now; I simply check the state of charge and watch the energy dashboard.

It has not eliminated my bill, and winter will test the capacity, but this lithium battery has made our solar investment very useful. For me, daily peak shifting was the strongest payoff.
