On cloudy days, I leave a little reserve for outages, although I have only tested backup power once. During a brief grid outage in July, the lights blinked but stayed on, and the refrigerator never stopped. That small moment made the purchase feel worthwhile.

My one annoyance came during the first month. The battery stopped charging at 86 percent whenever the garage got hot. I cleaned the ventilation area, checked the temperature limit in the app, and updated the firmware. After that, it reached full charge normally. Support answered my email the next morning, which was reassuring, though I wish the warning message had been clearer.

Overall, the solar storage system has not eliminated my electric bill, but it made it fairly predictable. I check charge each morning, enjoy evenings, and expect payback within five years.
