What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic routine. I do not think about the solar battery every day. I glance at the app in the morning, see the state of charge, and leave it alone. During a power outage last winter, the system switched over quickly enough to keep our refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and lights running for several hours. It was not a whole-home solution, but it was reassuring.

My advice is to size storage around your actual evening load, not your maximum solar production. The battery is most useful when it matches your habits.
