Evening is when my solar battery earns its keep. Before installing storage, my panels produced plenty of electricity during the day, but our house used the most power after dinner, when the sun had already gone down. I was still buying expensive grid electricity during peak-rate hours, especially while cooking, running the dishwasher, and charging our electric car.
