Running my home on a solar battery has changed the way I think about electricity bills. I appreciated that the system protected itself; I just needed to understand the setting.
For me, the value is not total energy independence. It is quieter, steadier bill control and using more of my own solar power. The battery has also made me more conscious of when I run appliances. If you are considering solar energy storage, I would prioritize accurate load data and a reliable battery management system over chasing the biggest advertised capacity. For our household, it has been a worthwhile financial investment so far, especially during expensive evening rate periods.
