I checked the cables and found a loose communication connector behind the inverter. Tightening it cleared the warning after a restart. I now check the monitoring app every few days, but I do not obsess over it.

What I like most is the simple routine: solar panels charge the battery, and the battery carries the house through expensive evening hours. It has not eliminated our power bill, but it has made our solar energy far more usable.
