Replacing my old lead acid bank with a growatt 10 kw compatible LiFePO4 Battery was mainly about getting through the evening without buying expensive grid power. My rooftop solar system already produced enough energy most days, but I was sending too much of it back to the grid at midday and then paying for electricity after dinner.
Installation took one Saturday. The installer mounted the battery in my garage, added the inverter settings, and showed me the monitoring app. The installation felt surprisingly tidy; I expected more disruption and noise. We checked the battery temperature sensors and backup wiring.

I did have one minor scare during the first week. The app showed a communication warning, and the battery stopped charging even though the panels were producing. I power-cycled the inverter, checked the network cable, and waited ten minutes. The warning disappeared, and charging resumed. It turned out to be a loose cable, not a battery fault.
For me, the real benefit is quieter evenings, predictable peak-hour savings, and the confidence that this home energy storage system is actually doing useful work here daily.
