Verifying my evening electricity use against the utility app has become a surprisingly satisfying part of my solar routine. Before adding storage, my rooftop solar produced plenty during the day, but my house still pulled expensive grid power after dinner. The battery changed that pattern almost immediately.
I installed the system in a small utility area beside my inverter. After several months, the practical benefit is simple: I use more of my own solar power, buy less expensive grid electricity, and pay closer attention to household loads. For me, that daily control matters more than chasing a perfect percentage on the battery monitor alone.
