Solution Solar Battery
Getting the solar battery installed changed the way I think about electricity. Before it arrived, I watched sunny afternoons send excess solar power back to the grid, then bought electricity again after dinner. Now my battery storage system saves midday energy and feeds it back into house when rates rise.
The biggest difference shows up during peak hours. My utility's peak window starts at 4 p.m., when cooking, laundry, and homework used to push usage upward. I set the inverter to discharge the battery then, and our evening grid consumption has dropped noticeably. On typical summer days, the app shows a clear reduction in imported power each evening.
Last month my electricity bill was about 38 percent lower than the same month last year, although our household habits have not changed much. I am not treating the number as a guarantee because weather and utility rates vary, but the savings are real enough to notice in our budget.
The setup was mostly painless. The installer mounted the battery beside our garage and paired it with a hybrid inverter. The only hiccup came during the first week when the monitoring app said the battery was offline. The house still had power, so I checked the breaker and restarted gateway.
It came back online within a minute and has stayed reliable since. Then I learned that the battery does not always charge to its full capacity on cloudy days. That worried me but the installer explained that reserve settings and limited solar production were normal. Now I check settings occasionally.
What I appreciate most is the quiet routine. I rarely think about the battery now. I simply glance at the charge level in the evening and see our dishwasher running from stored solar rather than grid power. For anyone comparing solar batteries, I would focus on usable capacity, warranty, and support. My egs002 setup has made daily energy use easier.
