Solution Solar Battery DIY Parts
On the first evening I used my solar battery system through dinner and barely noticed the grid meter move. I had installed a 10kWh lithium iron phosphate battery beside my inverter after months of watching electricity prices climb. My main goal was simple: store midday solar power and use it during peak hours, when our utility charges the most.
Before storage, my panels still produced plenty, but I sent much of that cheap energy back to the grid. Now the battery usually reaches full by about 1:30 p.m. At 4 p.m., I switch on the dishwasher, charge our plug-in hybrid, and cook dinner without pulling much from the utility. On cloudy days it does not fill completely, yet even a partial charge carries the refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and lights through the expensive evening window.
The bill difference became obvious after two billing cycles. My monthly usage charge dropped roughly 30%, saving around $55–$70 depending on sunshine and heating demand. That is not a dramatic promise of energy independence, but it feels worthwhile in a normal home. I also like seeing fewer sudden spikes on the monitoring app. The inverter status screen shows when the house is running from stored energy, and that feedback has made me more careful about timing appliances.
I did have one small hiccup. One morning the battery stopped discharging at about 40%. I checked the app and found a backup reserve setting had been raised during a firmware update. Lowering it restored normal operation, although I now check software notices before assuming something is broken.
I bought my equipment through docan technology shop, but the real value has been the quieter, more predictable evenings. The battery is not magic: I still watch consumption, keep panels clear, and leave reserve for outages. Still, using solar power after sunset has become an ordinary, money-saving part of my routine.
