Over the first full month, my utility bill fell from about $186 to $97, despite similar weather and working from home several days a week. The following month was slightly higher because of cloudy afternoons, but the battery still covered most peak-rate hours. I do not treat the app’s daily savings estimate as exact, since fixed charges remain, yet the difference is clear when I compare bills. At roughly $89 a month saved on average, I expect the system to pay back gradually rather than magically eliminate the bill.

I really had one small troubleshooting scare. The battery stopped discharging one evening, and the app showed “standby” at 62%. I checked the inverter, then found I had accidentally enabled backup reserve mode. Lowering the reserve to 20% made discharge resume immediately, and that setting has stayed put. For me, the best part of home energy storage is quiet control over when solar power gets used.
