The savings are clearest on weekdays. My old bills often included roughly $4 to $6 of evening electricity every day. Since adding energy storage, that usage usually comes from stored solar power instead. Last month, my bill was $46 lower than the same month last year, despite running the air conditioner more. I know seasonal comparisons are imperfect, but the reduction is visible every night on the app.

I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. After a cloudy day, the battery reached its reserve limit earlier than usual, and the inverter began pulling grid power. I had accidentally set the backup reserve too high, so I lowered it and regained capacity without sacrificing outage protection overnight.
