Of course, our modern system is miles ahead, but it made me appreciate the technology we have now. It’s not just about saving money, though that’s a huge plus. It feels good to be more self-sufficient and contribute a little less to peak grid demand. We’re even considering adding another panel or two next year to charge the battery faster during daylight hours.
