My favorite practical feature is the reserve setting. I keep 25 percent capacity untouched for outages, rather than squeezing out every kilowatt-hour each day. During one storm, the power flickered twice and the inverter switched smoothly to backup power; the refrigerator, router, a few lights, and my home office stayed running. I noticed only a brief pause on the monitor. That moment convinced me the battery backup was doing useful work, not just looking impressive on a specification sheet.
