Is this 48V battery DIY kit compatible with my solar inverter?
Yes. The PC200B operates at 48V/51.2V and is compatible with most 48V solar inverters including Victron Energy, Deye, Solis, Growatt, and Sofar Solar. It works with both off-grid and hybrid (battery-backup) systems. If you're unsure, send us your inverter model and we'll confirm compatibility.
How long does it take to build a DIY 48V battery with this kit?
Most DIYers with basic hand-tool experience complete the build in 2–4 hours. The PC200B case is pre-drilled, the BMS connectors are colour-coded and plug-and-play, and the manual walks you through each step. No soldering or specialised skills required.
What cells this kit can use — and can I choose?
You can select between Lishen HSEV-314Ah (included in base price) or EVE HSEV-314Ah (single pole or dual hole, at additional cost). Both are grade-A prismatic cells with proven track records in residential energy storage. All cells are tested for capacity and internal resistance before shipping.
What is the lifespan of the 314Ah LiFePO4 cells?
EVE and Lishen 314Ah LiFePO4 cells are rated for 8,000+ cycles at 70% depth of discharge (DOD), which translates to 10+ years of daily use. LiFePO4 chemistry degrades much slower than lead-acid or NMC lithium, making it the preferred choice for home energy storage.
Does this 48V DIY battery kit ship from Germany — and what's the return policy?
Yes. This kit ships from EU stock in Germany with an estimated 7–15 day delivery window. We offer a 30-day free return to your local warehouse if the product doesn't meet your expectations.
Can I expand this system later — add more batteries?
Yes. The PC200B supports parallel expansion up to 63 modules, giving you up to 1134kWh of total storage capacity. Each additional module connects via the parallel communications port and is automatically recognised by the BMS.
What tools do I need for the build?
A ratchet set (metric M8/M10 sockets), a torque wrench (or feeler gauge for M8 bolts), wire cutters/strippers, and a multimeter for verifying cell voltages. Nothing specialised — most home garages already have these.
Is the BMS Wi-Fi enabled?
The BMS has a Wi-Fi module port, but the Wi-Fi module is sold separately (GP-RS232-WIFI Module PWA1). Once added, you can monitor your 48V battery DIY kit remotely via the smartphone app.
