Solution Solar Battery
Using the super b 10p lithium ion battery at home has changed how I think about our solar power. Before installation, our rooftop solar panels exported most of their midday energy, while we bought expensive electricity in the evening. Now the lithium battery charges after lunch and runs the refrigerator, internet equipment, lights, and heat-pump controls after sunset. That shift is the feature I notice every day.
At first I watched the monitoring app obsessively. During the first week, it showed the battery reaching 100% by mid-afternoon, then falling to around 35% by breakfast. On sunny days, that meant almost no grid electricity during our utility’s peak window, which runs from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Our bills dropped roughly $68 in the first full month, even though we used more air conditioning than usual. That’s not a laboratory result; it is simply what I saw on our statement.
The one hiccup came during a cloudy stretch. The battery stopped discharging at about 62%, and the app displayed a communication warning. I checked the breaker and found the battery backup circuit had tripped after a brief power flicker. Resetting it restored normal operation, but I contacted the installer anyway. They confirmed the system was fine and suggested checking the Wi-Fi connection because the monitoring gateway had gone offline. Once I moved the router extender closer, the warnings stopped.
What I appreciate most is that I do not have to micromanage the solar battery every night. The inverter automatically keeps a reserve for outages, and I set the backup reserve at 25%. During a short outage last month, lights and Wi-Fi stayed on without me touching anything.
For me, that quiet reliability matters more than impressive specifications.
