What I like most is not feeling trapped by the utility schedule. I can run laundry after dinner without wondering whether every kilowatt-hour will cost extra. During outages, the system automatically powers the refrigerator, internet, and a few lights; I do not try to run the whole house. For me, lower bills plus backup are enough.
