Solution Solar Battery
Of all the upgrades we've made to our home, the solar energy storage is easily the one I rave about the most. Specifically, getting our solaredge battery installed was surprisingly smooth. I’d been putting it off, picturing a week of dust and disruption, but the installers were incredibly efficient. They were in and out in a day, and honestly, the biggest mess was the packaging. What really blew me away, though, is the quiet peace of mind knowing we're not completely at the mercy of peak-hour electricity rates anymore.
This past summer, we had one of those scorching July days where the AC was running non-stop. Usually, I'd be cringing at the thought of the bill. But this time, I actually checked our monitoring app. Seeing the battery discharge and power our home through those peak 5-8 PM times felt like a superpower. We were drawing directly from our stored solar energy, not the grid’s inflated prices. It’s not a massive fortune saved every single month, but it adds up, and knowing that we’re using clean energy we generated ourselves? That’s the real win. Plus, during those brief power flickers we sometimes get with storms, the house just seamlessly switches over. It’s a small luxury, but one I’ve come to really appreciate.
