The only hiccup came during the first week. The battery stopped discharging at 20% state of charge, even though the lights were on. I initially thought the LiFePO4 battery had failed. A look at the monitoring app showed that the inverter had entered backup reserve mode after a brief grid flicker. I lowered the reserve setting from 25% to 20% and updated the inverter firmware. Since then, it has behaved normally, keeping that reserve for outages as intended.
What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic routine. I do not have to switch appliances manually or think about the battery during ordinary evenings. When the sun is strong, it stores energy; when the house needs power, it supplies it. I am still watching long-term capacity and seasonal performance, but this solar battery has already made my electricity use feel less expensive and more predictable for our busy family home.
