The monitoring app is simple rather than flashy: I mainly check solar production, state of charge, and today’s estimated grid use.

My only annoying moment came during the second week, when the battery stopped discharging overnight. The app showed it was online, but the inverter displayed a warning about communication. I power-cycled the inverter, waited five minutes, and restarted the router. Everything resumed before breakfast. The installer later tightened one loose communication connection, so it has not happened again.

One practical tip: do not judge a solar battery by one sunny day. I compare monthly bills and watch evening consumption instead. Even with modest winter sunlight, our self-consumption is much higher, and the battery has made our home feel less dependent on utility prices.
