That small habit helped during one confusing evening when the battery seemed to stop discharging. I checked the meter and found the system was actually limiting output because the battery temperature had dipped after a cold snap. The warning was easy to miss, but moving the sensor away from a draft and restarting the inverter cleared it. The battery resumed normally, and I have not seen the issue since.

What I appreciate most is the quiet routine. I do not think about storage during the day; I simply check the charge before running the dishwasher or charging our electric car. For me, storage simply shifts ordinary energy use into cheaper hours. That's the exact kind of practical saving I wanted.
