4 months ago, I finally added a solar battery to my modest rooftop system. The main reason was simple: daytime panels produced plenty, but evening electricity prices kept hurting my bill.

There was one minor hiccup: after a firmware update, the battery stopped discharging at night. The dashboard showed “standby” even though its charge level was healthy. I power-cycled the inverter, checked the communication cable, and waited about ten minutes. Then the battery resumed normal discharge, and the monitoring history filled in the missing period. Support confirmed the update reset my schedule.
Now it earns its keep daily, reliably.
