Verifying my electricity bill after installing a home solar battery was when the investment finally felt real. The lights flickered, but the battery switched over quickly enough that my router stayed online and the refrigerator never stopped. I only noticed because the app sent a notification. That little moment changed my view of storage: it is not just about reducing bills, but also about making the house feel less vulnerable.
After three months, my household is using about 70% of our solar power directly or through the battery instead of exporting it cheaply. That feels like the win. Peak-hour savings are visible on paper, while the backup is what I appreciate most.
