Vacuums used to be one of those chores I avoided during the evening peak rate, because our electricity meter seemed to punish every switch flipped. Since installing a home solar battery last spring, I run the vacuum after dinner without checking the clock, and that small freedom has been the biggest practical win.

I lowered the reserve to 15%, restarted the inverter communications, and normal operation returned the next afternoon. Nothing was damaged, but I now leave the reserve alone and check the battery temperature occasionally, especially during hot weather.
For me, this energy storage system is less about energy independence slogans and more about predictable routines. I still watch the solar monitoring app, but I no longer micromanage every appliance. The combination of solar self-consumption, lithium battery storage, and sensible load shifting has made our household noticeably calmer.
