I did have one scare during the first month. The battery stopped discharging overnight, and the monitoring app showed it offline. The inverter itself was still powered, so I checked the communications cable and restarted the gateway. After about ten minutes, the system reconnected and resumed normally. It turned out our router had updated overnight and dropped the device from Wi-Fi.

That experience taught me to keep the installer’s support number handy and not panic over one app alert. The physical system kept the house supplied, which mattered more than perfect monitoring. For me, the biggest benefit of home battery storage is not independence from the grid; it is quietly using my own solar energy during the hours when electricity costs the most.
