After installing my solar battery storage system last spring, I have noticed the biggest difference during the evening peak hours. I did have one small troubleshooting moment. One morning the battery displayed a low temperature warning and stopped charging. I first assumed something had failed, but the manual explained that charging below the recommended temperature could reduce battery life. I moved a heater nearby, not directly against the unit, and waited until the room warmed. The warning cleared after a restart, and charging resumed normally. Since then, I have kept the utility room ventilated and checked the monitoring app weekly instead of panicking.
What I like most is the practical control. I can see solar production, household load, and battery state of charge at a glance, and I no longer feel forced to use appliances during peak pricing. The system has also made outages far less disruptive. No battery is magic, and I still watch cloudy forecasts, but this lithium battery setup has made our home energy use quieter, more predictable, and noticeably cheaper.
