Solution Solar Inverter
After six months of watching my electricity bills climb, I finally added a 10-kWh home battery to my rooftop solar system. The unit uses baterii litiu fier fosfat cells, and I chose it mainly to avoid buying expensive evening power.
The installation was less disruptive than I expected. The installer mounted the battery in my garage, beside the inverter, and finished the wiring in one afternoon. I had to clear a corner and improve ventilation, but there was no major remodeling. The app connected to my Wi-Fi immediately, although I spent about twenty minutes learning where to change the charge schedule.
My biggest improvement appears between 5 and 10 p.m. During sunny days, solar panels fill the battery by late afternoon. Then the battery runs the refrigerator, lights, router, and heat-pump water heater through the evening. Before the battery, those hours were my most expensive period. My first full bill after installation was about 28 percent lower, despite using roughly the same amount of electricity. That is not a dramatic overnight miracle, but it is money I can actually see staying in my account.
One hot evening, I noticed the battery was discharging earlier than expected. The app showed a warning about grid import, and I initially assumed the solar battery had failed. After checking, I found that I had accidentally enabled backup-only mode while experimenting with settings. Switching back to self-consumption restored normal operation within a few minutes. That small scare taught me to leave the advanced controls alone unless I understand them.
For my household, the main value is not total energy independence. It is using more of my own solar power and reducing peak-hour rates without changing our routine. I check the battery state of charge weekly, and so far, the system has been quiet, predictable, and practical.
