After checking, I found that I had accidentally enabled backup-only mode while experimenting with settings. Switching back to self-consumption restored normal operation within a few minutes. That small scare taught me to leave the advanced controls alone unless I understand them.

For my household, the main value is not total energy independence. It is using more of my own solar power and reducing peak-hour rates without changing our routine. I check the battery state of charge weekly, and so far, the system has been quiet, predictable, and practical.
