That is roughly $90 saved in a typical month, which feels more meaningful than the sales estimate because I can see the savings on an actual bill.

I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. After a firmware update, the app showed the battery at 100 percent, but the house was still drawing from the grid. I checked the settings and found backup reserve mode had been switched on, keeping 30 percent untouched. Once I lowered that reserve temporarily, the battery began covering the evening load normally. I raised the reserve again afterward, since outages are uncommon here but I want refrigeration and internet protected.

That peace matters.
