During a storm, the app reported “standby” instead of “charging.” I checked the breaker first, then discovered the battery had paused itself at the configured backup reserve because the power flickered. After the grid stabilized, I restarted the charging schedule in the app, and it resumed normally. That small incident made me appreciate having a visible state-of-charge percentage instead of guessing.

I also keep a separate 12 volt battery charger lithium ion portable car unit in the trunk, not for emergencies. Overall, the storage battery has made my evening electricity routine cheaper, calmer.
