Pre-Order FAQsHow large and heavy is the PowerCornet 5, and how is it installed?
The PowerCornet 5 is a compact 3U, 19-inch rack unit measuring 148 × 449 × 510 mm and weighing 50 kg (steel chassis).
- It slides straight into a standard 19-inch server rack — no shelf bracket and no cabinet rework required. A built-in 125 A circuit breaker provides a physical isolation point.
- Cooling is passive and fanless — no fans to clean and no fan noise.
- It operates from 0°C to +55°C while charging and -25°C to +55°C while discharging, tolerates up to 95% RH non-condensing humidity and 3,000 m altitude. The enclosure is IP21, for indoor installation.
- A heating pad is available as an option — order it with the unit if your site needs one.
Which inverters is the PowerCornet 5 compatible with?
The PowerCornet 5 is designed to work with a wide range of hybrid and off-grid inverters. It communicates over CAN, RS485, RS232 and Wi-Fi, plus a dry-contact output. RS485A/CAN go to the inverter, while RS485B/RS485C coordinate communication between parallel units.
During commissioning, select the corresponding lithium battery protocol in your inverter's menu so voltage and current limits follow the battery BMS.
The Wi-Fi module is an optional external accessory — the battery ships without it unless ordered. With it installed, the battery streams data to the Gobel VRM platform and integrates with Home Assistant and ioBroker; Bluetooth is available for on-site monitoring.

Can I connect multiple PowerCornet 5 units to expand capacity?
Yes. The PowerCornet 5 supports up to 16 units connected in parallel — up to 81.92 kWh total — so you can start with one 5.12 kWh 3U unit and expand as your energy needs grow.
- Series connection is not supported — always parallel, never stack voltages.
- RS485B/RS485C ports coordinate communication across the parallel bank, and each unit reports its own status over the communication port.

How long does delivery of the PowerCornet 5 take, and which shipping terms do you support?
The PowerCornet 5 ships from our China warehouse. Typical door-to-door delivery time is 30-50 days, depending on your destination and the shipping method chosen at quotation.
We can quote under the standard trade terms:

What warranty does the Gobel PowerCornet 5 come with?
The PowerCornet 5 carries a 5-year warranty, extendable to 10 years (PRO), covering defects in materials and workmanship of the battery pack and its built-in BMS under normal use. The design life is rated at 10+ years.

Add the WiFi module and the rack reports to vrm.gobelpower.com and the Gobel VRM app — free, no subscription. One WiFi dongle on the master pack covers the whole parallel bank.

The PowerCornet 5 is a true 48V-class battery: 51.2 V nominal across a 44.8–57.6 V operating window, 100 Ah and 5.12 kWh per 3U unit. It charges and discharges at 100 A continuously — 130 A for 25-second peaks — delivering 5.12 kW of continuous output and 6.66 kW of peak power for demanding loads.

Solar Battery Backup for Home Your loads keep running when the grid doesn't.
When the grid fails, the JK100 BMS takes over: over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection run continuously, a 125 A built-in circuit breaker gives you a physical isolation point, and an integrated aerosol fire-suppression module watches over the cells. Charging is rated from 0 °C to +55 °C, discharging down to −25 °C.
