Solution Solar Inverter -
Solution LiFePO4 Battery Cell
Getting home after sunset used to mean checking whether the grid had returned before running the washing machine. Since installing my solar battery storage system six months ago, I have stopped planning evenings around power cuts and peak rates. The change is small but noticeable: my rooftop solar charges the battery during the day, and it carries our house through the expensive evening window.
Before installation, I compared several solar battery options and spent too long searching for the exact v guard inverter price online. I chose a hybrid inverter with a 5kWh lithium battery, rather than the largest package. My goal was enough capacity for lights, fans, refrigerator, and internet overnight, but not so much storage that I would pay for unused space.
Installation was easier than expected. The installer mounted the battery in a shaded utility area and programmed it to prioritize solar charging.
The biggest saving appears on ordinary weekdays. Our utility charges peak rates from 5pm to 10pm, so the battery powers the refrigerator, television, lights, and sometimes my induction cooker. Before storage, those hours pushed our bill noticeably higher. In the first full billing month, our electricity cost fell by roughly 28%, despite similar usage. The exact amount changes with weather, but seeing fewer grid units on the bill is satisfying.
There was one minor hiccup. On a cloudy afternoon, I ran the microwave and washing machine together, and the inverter briefly switched to grid power. I assumed something was broken, but the app showed the battery had reached its reserve limit. I adjusted the discharge setting slightly, and it has behaved normally since.
For me, the best part is quietly using stored solar energy during expensive hours. I may add another battery, but this system fits our needs very well.
