Usually, our electricity bill was highest between 4 and 9 p.m., when the solar panels stopped producing but cooking, laundry, and heating were still running. That changed after I installed a battery storage system with the huawei sun2000 3ktl m1 inverter.
The installation itself was less disruptive than I expected. The installer mounted the battery and inverter in the garage, close to the main electrical panel, and connected the system to our rooftop solar array. I was most interested in the monitoring app, because I wanted to see whether the battery was actually helping or just looking impressive on the wall. On the first sunny day, the panels powered the house and charged the battery by early afternoon. Around 5 p.m., the battery automatically switched to discharge mode. I could see it covering the refrigerator, lights, heat-pump water heater, and evening cooking load in real time.
The biggest practical difference has been peak-hour usage. Before adding energy storage, we regularly pulled several kilowatt-hours from the grid after sunset. Now, on a typical sunny day, the battery handles most of that period. Our monthly bill has dropped by roughly 25 to 35 percent, depending on weather and how much heating we use. It is not total energy independence, but avoiding expensive evening electricity has made the system worthwhile for us.
I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. During the first week, the battery stopped discharging because its reserve setting was at 30 percent. I initially thought something was wrong, but the app showed the system was protecting the backup capacity. I lowered the reserve to 15 percent for normal days and kept the higher setting before storms.
After several months, the solar battery feels less like new technology and more like a quiet appliance. I do not think about it daily, but I notice it whenever the bill arrives.
