Running my evening routine changed after I installed a home battery alongside the growatt hybrid solar inverter spf 5000. Before that, my rooftop solar system sent plenty of power back to the grid during the afternoon, then I bought electricity during expensive peak hours after dinner. Now the battery charges from surplus solar, and I use that stored energy between roughly 5:00 and 9:00 p.m.

What I appreciate most is not chasing every watt. The system quietly covers our essential nighttime loads, while the solar panels refill the lithium battery the next day. On sunny weeks, I finish with plenty of charge remaining; on rainy stretches, the inverter automatically pulls from the grid when necessary. It has made solar power feel more useful and predictable, rather than merely reducing my daytime bill at home.
